Nia Long Is 'ALL Woman'

Nitara Carlynn "Nia" Long is a lot of things. Nia is an award winning Afro-Trinidadian American actress. Nia is a music video director. Nia is proud yet humble woman of color. Nia is secure in her own sense of self. Nia is a confident, intelligent and smart individual. Nia is well grounded in her career and personal live. Nia is a happy proud mother. Nia Long is fine. Nia long is beautiful. Nia long is 'ALL woman'

What's the definition of 'all woman'? I can give you my definite of 'all woman'. I suspect that like so many words and terms in existence that it holds different meaning to many. 'All woman' (as per Slym) embodies, but is not limited to, a woman with the ability to be sassy yet classy at the same time; a woman who is makes smart intelligent choices, who is self-assured, who can handle herself and her business, who is never to busy for family and matters of the heart, who is just as comfortable wearing a designer dress as she is wearing cut off jeans, cap and t-shirt; a woman who is ambitious and not afraid of a challenge; a woman who has the self control to walk away from an argument but can and will kick your ass if the situation calls for it. I could go on and on but I'm pretty sure that I've painted a very vivid picture of what this term means to me.

So the next question to ask is - does Nia Long possess a lot of, if not all, of the qualities mentioned about? You already know my answer (a definite resounding YES!) so go ahead (if you feel like it) and tell me yours.

Some of her most noted films/TV appearances are The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air (a role she snatched from Jada Pinkett because Jada was too short for the role), Third Watch, Soul Food, Love Jones, The Best Man, Big Momma's House (I and II), Are We There Yet? and Are We Done Yet?.

So far in her career she has won a Black Star Award for Star of the Year (2000), a Black Reel Award for Best Actress (2000 - The Best Man) and three Image Awards - two for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series (2004 & 2005 - Third Watch) and one for Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture (2000 - The Best Man). Long has had an additional 9 nominations as well.

Throughout her career she has not been hesitant to take breaks when she has the need to. She is not one who feels the need to have to be doing back to back films or TV appearances and when I think of it, I've concluded that this is a major reason why it is always more pleasurable when she does a movie or make an appearance. She makes you miss her so that when she comes back you are truly gratified.

Over the years she has had recurring roles in Judging Amy, Boston Legal and Big Shots. She does not have a lot in the pipeline in terms of up-coming films or TV shows which is of no surprise to me but I am certainly looking forward to seeing something from her in the near future.

It should not come as a surprise to know that Long has had her share of being a contender on the noted beautiful and sexy lists as well as being featured on popular magazine covers. She is a beautiful woman with curves in all the right places. She has merit and substance. She is not just gorgeous, sexy and beautiful but she is a talented actress who pours herself into the characters that she portrays. Nia long is undoubtedly not just another pretty face. Yes, Nia Long is indeed 'ALL woman'.

Ashley Judd Come With Me To Paradise

OK, so I started my confession yesterday and today I have come to admit that it started a chain reaction. Yes, I now feel the need to lay yet another confession on the line. So today I have come to confess my unending, immeasurable and profound crush on the ageless beauty who is Ashley Judd.

Don't take it lightly when I disclose the fact that my crush on her was instantaneous because it was. I don't remember the first film I saw of her neither do I remember even one line, or word for that matter, that she spoke in the said movie. No, I don't remember any of it. What I do remember is that I fell and fell hard and have never let up since.

Can I be blamed? Well I guess the answer to that one is yes. So instead, I'll ask - Should I be blamed? Yep, that's better. Who wouldn't fall head-over-heals for this captivating and engaging beauty? I'm not even going to ask if I'm the only one who feels this way about her because I know I'm not. It's inconceivable to even begin to imagine otherwise. It's just not possible. It's just isn't.

She was born Ashley Tyler Ciminella to now famous country singer Naomi Judd and marketing analyst Michael Ciminella, Jr. Don't ask me how she accomplished this, but she attended twelve schools within thirteen years before entering college. Her hobbies include running, rock climbing, mountain hiking, yoga, gardening and cooking. She is an avid fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball team and still attends many of their games.

She is also a political and humanitarian activist and is an appointed Global Ambassador for YouthAIDS, an organization that promotes AIDS prevention and treatment. Judd is fluent in French; in fact it was her major at the University of Kentucky. As part of her major, she spent a semester studying in France.

I'm sure I don't need to mention this, but of course I will. Judd has been featured on the hottie-sexy-beautiful-intriguing lists that have now become so famous. She has made her rounds in and on the cover of the beauty magazines/lists of note - FHM, People, etc.

She began her career in 1991 playing the role of Ensign Robin Lefler in Star Trek: The Next Generation. From 1991 to 1994 she had a recurring role in Sisters, an NBC drama series. She made her film debut in 1992 playing small role of the wife of the paint store owner in Kuffs.

Since then she has become well known for such movies as Ruby in Paradise, The Passion of Darkly Noon, Smoke, Heat, A Time to Kill (she gave a good performance in this film imho), Kiss the Girls (opposite Morgan Freeman - this film was well received at the box office and is one of her most noted), Double Jeopardy (opposite Tommy Lee Jones, one of my personal favorites of her movies), High Crime (paired her again with Freeman) and Twisted (with Samuel L. Jackson - I enjoyed her performance and the movie and I'm a huge Sam L. fan, this is also a personal favorite).

If you are a fan and follower of Judd, you can see her in Helen which was released at the Sundance Film Festival in the U.S. on 16 January 2009 and will be released in Germany in next month. She starred opposite Harrison Ford and Ray Liotta in Crossing Over (released 29 February 2009). Filming of her lasting movie, Tooth Fairy has been completed and the movie will be released on 13 November 2009. This movie also stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Dame Julie Andrews.

So there you have; yet another confession of lust, longing, desire and profound attraction to another talented, adorable, charming, exquisite, elegant, refined, stunning, sexy, alluring and dark-haired beauty. And once again, I feel immense relief because of my disclosure. Yep, it turns out that my fetish for gorgeous women is a definitely a good thing, for a little while there I wasn't so sure. So the bottom line is that I L-O-V-E Ashley Judd; I adore her. It would be very accurate to say that I have an obsession with her. I would go to see a movie simply because she is/was in it; I need no other reason but this (Is this an admission that I have indeed done this? No comment). Is there the slightest possibility that this obsession will ever end? Not in a million years or more!

Andie MacDowell: This Must Be Love

I have a question. Is there a cut off age of being hot, gorgeous, undisputedly attractive or super sexy? If there is, and it is absolutely unthinkable that such a limitation exists, then someone failed to inform Andie MacDowell of this. And if the did notify her, then she is truly defiant (with my full approval).

How old is this opulent American beauty of strong Scottish descent? She will be 51 hot and fabulous years old on April 21st, which is just 13 days away. So Andie here's wishing you the best of times when that day rolls around.

Where do I begin? (Wow another question. I have of them today.) I think I'll start with the dark, luscious, silky, glowing and perfect hair. *Breathe Slym... breathe... stay calm... you've only just begun. Don't get carried away with your emotions... Just breathe... There now... yes... that's better.*

Where was I? (And yet another question, what's up with me today?). There was something about hair... yes... right... ok. Then there are those sultry, inviting, sexy brown eyes *swoon*. She has eyes that totally captivate your inner senses *even more swoons*; dreamy, sensual, commanding, compelling and provocative eyes. *Slym, stop it! Focus... f-o-c-u-s. Blog Slym, blog.*

Her nose *sigh* is so cute. Her lips; so perfectly shaped *chin in hands and more sighs*. Her smile, ooh her smile... *be still my beating heart; be strong my weak knees; don't fail me now. I need to finish this. I need a moment, or two, or three or more.*

You know what, if I'm going to survive this, I need to shift gears so let's talk about her career and other things. Rosalie Anderson MacDowell is a model, actress and producer who is a native of Gaffney, South Carolina. She's the daughter of a music teacher and lumber executive and loves hiking and the out-doors.

She has modeled for Vogue magazine, Yves Saint Laurent, Vassarette, Armani perfume, Anne Klein, Calvin Klein, Bill Bass and is the Spokesmodel for L'Oréal. She has made her rounds on the beautiful and sexy people's lists as well.

She made her filmed debut in 1984 in Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes. Her other films include Sex, Lies, and Videotape for which she won an Independent Spirit Award and a Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award, Hudson Hawk, The Object of Beauty, Short Cuts for which she won a Golden Globe Award and a Venice Film Festival Award and Multiplicity.

Her two most successful films to date are Groundhog Day for which she won a Saturn Award and Four Weddings and A Funeral which earned her a Golden Globe nomination. It was in this latter film that I developed an obsession with the actress. In total the actress has had three Golden Globe nominations and has won a total of seven awards. These include an Honorary César and a Golden Camera Award. Both of these were won in 1997. MacDowell received a Medal of Honor in Arts from the Winthrop University on 22 October 2004 and a Doctor of Letters degree from Lander University, S.C. for her dedication to the Children's Health Center on 8 May 2001.

You can look forward to seeing her in The Six Wives of Henry Lefay (post production) where she will share the screen with Elisha Cuthbert, Tim Allen and Paz Vega (ooh ooh Vega). The 5th Quarter (post production) will see her in the leading role opposite Aidan Quinn and As Good As Dead (post production) will cast her with the likes of Brian Cox and Gary Elwes.

Hey look, I've given the facts and all that stuff. Can I please get back to the doting, lustful, longing and desirable stuff now? *Did I write all those things? OMG! I think I need help.* I was smitten by Andie from the very first moment I laid eyes on her and I'm sure it's no secret that I still am, n fact, hopeless so. I admit it. I confess it. I declare it. There, I feel so much more liberated now. Confession (though mine are so public) is definitely good for the soul.

When I think of MacDowell, I fall into a state of blissful reverie. I see stars (in my eyes and floating around my head), I see love birds and I see little red hearts... This must be love.
