Hottie Friday: Padma Lakshmi

Padma, Padma ooh how delicious *sigh*. I just want to serve up something nice and tasty. All of a sudden I'm feeing very hungry. I've developed quite an appetite. Whether or not this appetite is for food is another story altogether.

Is there any denying how hot, sexy and desirable this woman is? The host of Top Chef since it's second season (2006) is so hot that they do not need to light the stoves or ovens in any kitchen as long as she's around! All she has to do is walk by and all of the burners will flare up! Now that's hot! She's so steamy. She'll raise the temp in the room every time!

Just in case you don't know her, Padma Parvati Lakshmi was born in Kerala, India on September 1, 1970 although she spent most of her teenage years in the U.S. She's a cookbook author, actress and former model. She holds a B.A. with honors in Theatre Arts from Clark University in Massachusetts (1992). It is said that she speaks five languages.

Her modelling career began at the age of 20 when a modelling agent sighted her sitting in a cafĂ© in Spain. Regarding her career as a model, the hottie has stated that, “I was the first Indian model to have a career in Paris, Milan and New York. I’m the first one to admit that I was a novelty.

When she was 14 years old she was involved in a car accident which left her with a 7 inch scar on her right arm between her elbow and shoulder.

She was awarded the Best First Book at the 1999 World Cookbook Awards at Versailles for her first cookbook Easy Exotic and she released her second cookbook Tangy, Tart, Hot and Sweet on October 2, 2007

Lakshmi is a true Indian beauty without a doubt. Her beauty and hotness has been recognized many times over as she has been included on a number of hot/sexy/beautiful people lists. Throughout her career she appeared on the cover of as well as was featured in several magazines including Newsweek, Cosmopolitan, L'Officiel India, Asian Woman, Avenue and Industry.

She has modelled for famed designers Emanuel Ungaro, Ralph Lauren and Alberta Ferretti. She has also done ad campaigns for Roberto Cavalli and Versus.

Her television movie roles include Unzipped, Linda e il brigadiere ep: "Il fratello di Linda", Caraibi, Planet Food, Glitter, Melting Pot: Padma's Passport, Star Trek: Enterprise ep: Precious Cargo, Boom, The Mistress of Spices, The Ten Commandments and Sharpe ep: Sharpe's Challenge.

Personal Quotes:
I write cookbooks and I'm an actress - two things that aren't always compatible, at least for the waistline.

The best part of modeling was traveling and increasing my knowledge of world cultures.

I was brought to believe that the female form is a beautiful thing. I think it's not so much what you do but how you do it that matters. I don't think I've done anything that was exploitative.

All the pictures that have been taken of me are artistic. Even if they were provocative or revealing, I don't think they were vulgar.
